Base Salary
$130k - $158k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members on priorities, specifications, and feature implementation.
- Write clean, well-documented, and tested code.
- Create secure and performant interfaces and services.
- Build and maintain new functionality for the Signals Notebook cloud product.
- Work with cloud services and technologies.
- Develop backend functionality using Java, Vert.x, AWS, web services, and AI development tools.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of Java programming experience.
- 3–5 years of experience with reactive programming using Vert.x.
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience with AI development tools, including creating AI agents.
- 3–5 years of experience building web services and RESTful APIs.
- Experience or exposure to CI/CD tools including Jenkins and GitHub is preferred.
- Experience with JDBC in transactional applications and an RDBMS, preferably PostgreSQL, is preferred.
- Awareness of the performance implications of queries and inserts or updates.
- Understanding of structured software development, design, development, and testing in an Agile environment.
- Strong teamwork, collaboration, ownership, problem-solving, and innovation skills.
- Life science, chemistry, or biology experience is a plus.
- Candidates must be able to interview in person at the Waltham, Massachusetts headquarters.
