Base Salary
$112k - $176k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Java and Node.js frameworks such as NestJS.
- Build scalable systems using Kafka and other event-streaming technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new platform features and functionality.
- Refactor and improve existing code to enhance performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Develop RESTful APIs using appropriate design patterns and best practices.
- Deploy, monitor, and scale applications using cloud technologies.
- Lead the rapid testing, validation, and socialization of new technical ideas for the DAAS initiative.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science plus 2+ years of Backend Software Engineering experience focused on Java and Node.js, or a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science plus 4+ years of experience.
- Experience with SQL Server and/or MongoDB, including query writing, schema design, and data security.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful web APIs.
- Familiarity with SOLID principles, design patterns, unit testing, logging, monitoring, and alerting tools.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with Kafka or other messaging systems, AWS and GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, microservices architectures, and open-source contributions.
