Responsibilities
- Provide senior technical guidance from discovery and solution design through implementation and operational transition.
- Lead architecture reviews and evaluate manageability, upgradeability, scalability, performance, security, licensing, and supportability.
- Coach architects, administrators, developers, and delivery teams on reusable ServiceNow engineering patterns.
- Review designs involving CSDM/CMDB, integrations, roles, workflows, user experiences, automation, custom tables, scripted logic, and core capabilities.
- Advise on Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, APIs, MID Servers, scheduled jobs, workspaces, portals, and notifications.
- Guide security, privacy, access control, authentication, authorization, credentials, encryption, audit, and data-retention requirements.
- Lead CMDB/CSDM data modelling, ownership, quality, reconciliation, and shared-data governance.
- Support dependencies, technical risk, release planning, upgrades, production readiness, major-incident investigations, and root-cause analysis.
- Drive technical debt reduction, health remediation, code quality, observability, logging, monitoring, support documentation, and upgrade readiness.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer and employee experiences through automation, analytics, AI, and ServiceNow capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
- At least five years of relevant ServiceNow or enterprise-platform experience, including senior advisory, architecture, or lead engineering responsibilities.
- Advanced ServiceNow knowledge and experience delivering solutions in large, complex enterprise environments.
- Strong experience in administration, configuration, development, integration, security, and release practices.
- Practical knowledge of CMDB, CSDM, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, scripting, APIs, access controls, deployment, and automated testing.
- Ability to evaluate complex issues, communicate recommendations clearly, influence without direct authority, and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications include ServiceNow CSA, CAD, CIS, or CTA credentials.
- Preferred experience includes ITOM, SPM, CSM, SecOps, IRM, HRSD, HAM, SAM, Now Assist, AI Control Tower, multi-instance environments, multi-vendor environments, or regulated enterprises.
