Responsibilities
- Upgrade, refactor, and modernize legacy Unix scripts and associated application components.
- Develop and maintain automation using Bash, PowerShell, Python, and Groovy.
- Support application containerization and deployment using Docker and Docker Swarm across OpenShift Container Platform and Kubernetes environments.
- Use AWS and DevOps tooling to support application builds, deployments, and migrations.
- Develop and troubleshoot solutions across Linux and Windows environments.
- Work with JBoss, Apache Tomcat, Nginx, and HAProxy application technologies.
- Troubleshoot application dependencies and script-related issues during modernization and migration programs.
Requirements
- Require 5–6 years of Unix/Linux development experience, including upgrading and refactoring legacy Unix scripts for application modernization.
- Require hands-on Docker and containerization experience, including deployment to OpenShift Container Platform and Kubernetes clusters.
- Require experience with AWS and DevOps practices supporting application development, deployment, and modernization.
- Require proficiency with Bash, PowerShell, Python, and Groovy scripting and automation.
- Require experience with RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Microsoft Windows environments.
- Preferred experience includes Java application modernization or migrations involving legacy Java 6 or Java 8 applications.
- Preferred experience includes JBoss, Apache Tomcat, Nginx, HAProxy, Docker Swarm, and complex enterprise or financial-services modernization programs.
