Responsibilities
- Build and ship responsive React web interfaces for Android TV and embedded Linux devices, including remote-control and D-pad navigation experiences.
- Develop and integrate Node.js services and APIs that connect TV interfaces to Samba’s data platform.
- Optimize front-end and service performance for limited memory and CPU, older webview and browser engines, and constrained TV hardware.
- Debug defects, performance bottlenecks, and integration issues across the web layer and devices using debugging tools and log analysis.
- Collaborate with TV Platform, AI, product, design, and engineering teams to deliver cohesive features.
- Prototype and integrate new AI-powered features into the viewer experience.
Requirements
- Proficiency in ECMAScript/JavaScript, the Node.js ecosystem, browser-compatible JavaScript, and React.js.
- Strong understanding of responsive and performant web applications, component architecture, state management, and browser rendering and networking.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL or MySQL, optimized SQL queries, AWS, GCP, or Azure, cloud deployment, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in full-stack or web application development.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred experience with GraphQL, gRPC, Kafka, Spark, Python, Go, shell scripting, Bitbucket Pipelines, ArgoCD, Docker, Kubernetes, and data-heavy or AdTech/MediaTech products.
- Preferred awareness of DevSecOps, GitOps, AIOps, and cybersecurity risks such as supply-chain attacks.
