Responsibilities
- Improve reliability, availability, and recoverability of monitoring and screening platforms.
- Define and manage SLIs, SLOs, alerting, and observability for service health.
- Provide L1/L2 production support for FCP Platform, AutoSys batch scheduling, API services, and AWS-hosted components.
- Build and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and automation to reduce operational costs.
- Support incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
- Implement and operate CI/CD pipelines and support cloud-native deployments.
- Develop Python and Shell automation scripts for batch processing and operational tasks.
- Collaborate with engineering and platform teams on reliable, scalable screening and cloud-integrated solutions.
- Mentor offshore engineering teams and participate in on-call rotations.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of relevant hands-on experience in software development.
- Experience operating production-grade systems with strong reliability and availability requirements.
- Strong knowledge of SRE and observability practices, including monitoring, logging, alerting, and SLOs.
- Hands-on experience with Customer Screening, Financial Crime platforms, and Oracle FCMRE.
- Strong experience with AWS services and cloud-based architectures.
- Experience contributing to DevSecOps improvements.
- Experience with batch processing frameworks and schedulers such as AutoSys.
- Working knowledge of API development and integration.
- Very strong Python and Shell scripting skills.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, TeamCity, or Octopus.
- Familiarity with Grafana, ELK/EFK, CloudWatch, and PagerDuty.
- Preferably, experience setting up datasets, monitoring, and alerts in Observe.
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
- Expertise troubleshooting implementation, environment, and deployment issues.
- Experience with Java, Node.js, or C#.
- Bachelor of Engineering or B.Tech qualification.
