Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, validate, and troubleshoot deployments across Microsoft Azure and on-premise environments.
- Own release execution, including package preparation, coordination, post-deployment validation, rollback readiness, approvals, and change windows.
- Design, manage, and improve Azure DevOps and Git-based deployment pipelines and release processes.
- Develop PowerShell and Python automation to reduce manual deployment effort and risk.
- Implement blue/green deployments, canary releases, artifact management, and version management.
- Maintain UAT and production environment parity, stability, performance, and security compliance.
- Resolve deployment incidents and defects, improve observability, reduce MTTR, and strengthen SLAs and SLOs.
- Create and maintain deployment documentation, runbooks, operational procedures, and stakeholder communications.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Azure DevOps release and deployment management, particularly release deployment rather than CI.
- Experience with Azure infrastructure PaaS, AKS, Terraform, PowerShell, Windows Server, and IIS.
- Strong deployment troubleshooting and production support skills across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Experience with PowerShell and/or Python scripting and deployment automation.
- Knowledge of security standards, access controls, patching, configuration management, audit requirements, and change management.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with Product, Engineering, QA, Security, Cloud Operations, and other stakeholders.
