Responsibilities
- Build and evolve business-critical clearing and settlement backend services with Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot.
- Design and operate distributed, event-driven systems and APIs.
- Develop and operate cloud-native applications on AWS using containerized services on ECS and serverless workloads on Lambda.
- Improve infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, observability, monitoring, automation, reliability, and developer experience.
- Translate complex financial processes into clear software models using Domain-Driven Design.
- Own delivery from idea through production while ensuring resilient, secure, compliant, and maintainable financial workflows.
- Raise engineering standards through code reviews, automated testing, and quality improvements.
Requirements
- Relevant university degree or comparable qualification.
- Strong experience building backend services with Kotlin or Java and Spring Boot.
- Solid understanding of Domain-Driven Design and software modeling of complex business processes.
- Experience designing and operating distributed, event-driven systems and APIs.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud-native development, especially containerized and serverless workloads.
- Confidence with automated testing, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, production observability, and monitoring.
- A quality and security mindset with attention to reliability, maintainability, and operational ownership.
- Interest in complex financial workflows or willingness to learn them quickly.
- Clear communication and a collaborative, pragmatic approach.
