Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize GCP infrastructure, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, VPC, DNS, CDN, and FileStore.
- Build and maintain DevOps pipelines and automate CI/CD processes for applications.
- Use Terraform or Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning and cloud resource management.
- Develop, debug, and optimize Python or similar automation scripts.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot application and production issues, and support incident triage.
- Implement security measures, regulatory compliance practices, and incident and change management processes.
- Establish, document, and implement end-to-end application initiation and deployment best practices.
- Provide customized tooling solutions across platforms and support live production applications, including weekend support as needed.
Requirements
- 12+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, specializing in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Google Cloud Platform infrastructure services and related cloud technologies.
- Experience with Terraform or Ansible for infrastructure automation and Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages.
- Hands-on experience automating CI/CD pipelines and working in agile and DevOps environments.
- Good understanding of distributed applications, HTTP, server and REST APIs, and Linux environments and commands.
- Experience with production deployment, application support, incident troubleshooting, and incident triage.
- Familiarity with Qlik Sense and NPrinting reporting platforms.
- Experience with Git, Confluent, Confluence, and JIRA.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, multitasking, communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills.
