Responsibilities
- Build and own the AI agent harness, including execution loops, state persistence, dynamic prompt assembly, output schema validation, and retry mechanisms.
- Design secure tool-execution runtimes and schema-validated function dispatchers for deal operations, policy checks, and pricing adjustments.
- Engineer context compaction, session scratchpads, and long-term memory retrieval pipelines using RAG and vector search.
- Build evaluators, policy linters, verification checks, and feedback sensors enforcing margin, discount, and compliance guardrails.
- Design low-latency, event-driven Java microservices supporting state transitions, audit logs, and integrations with Zuora Billing and CRM platforms.
- Set technical standards for agent harness design, promote evaluation-driven development, and mentor senior engineers across squads.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with modern Java, including Java 17+, JVM internals, concurrency models, Spring Boot, and cloud-native distributed architecture.
- Deep experience building LLM infrastructure such as agent loops, state-machine tracking, tool calling and dispatch systems, context-window management, and structured output parsing.
- Practical experience with LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, LlamaIndex, custom agent orchestration runtimes, and vector databases such as Pgvector or Pinecone.
- Strong background in event-driven architecture with Kafka or RabbitMQ, Redis caching, PostgreSQL or MySQL databases, and REST or gRPC API design.
- Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, container isolation, and securing agent execution against improper tool invocations or prompt injection.
- Preferred experience with Amazon Bedrock Agents, AWS Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, ECS/Fargate, CloudWatch, Bedrock AgentCore Evaluations, and LLM-as-a-judge pipelines.
- Preferred domain experience in enterprise deal desk operations, revenue operations, quote-to-cash workflows, dynamic pricing engines, or high-volume SaaS approval chains.
