Base Salary
$200k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and ship custom AI-powered internal platforms for various departments.
- Translate ambiguous business requirements into technical specifications and software products.
- Own platform development end-to-end, including front-end and back-end components.
- Architect multi-stage AI pipelines and conduct model selection across providers.
- Design evaluation frameworks for AI features to ensure reliability in production.
- Partner with department leads to identify operational inefficiencies and scope solutions.
- Design and implement integrations with third-party platforms used at Replit.
- Maintain and operate shipped platforms in production, responding to incidents.
- Document architectural decisions and onboard future team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated portfolio of shipped software products, including AI applications.
- Experience in running a business or working at a fast-scaling startup.
- Proficiency in modern software engineering practices and production debugging.
- Hands-on experience with large language model providers and their APIs.
- Programming proficiency in Python and TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Strong communication skills for presenting technical work to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
