Base Salary
$125k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain full-stack features using React, TypeScript, and Python.
- Partner with product and design teams to translate user needs into intuitive interfaces and high-quality workflows.
- Create and maintain APIs and backend services supporting data flows between edge devices, cloud services, and client applications.
- Optimize responsiveness, reliability, and scalability across the software stack.
- Contribute to architectural decisions involving data storage, caching, service boundaries, and partitioning.
- Review code, mentor other engineers, and promote strong engineering practices.
- Work with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling.
- Participate in planning, design reviews, and cross-team collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or an equivalent field with a programming background.
- At least 4+ years of experience building scalable and available web services.
- Strong experience with object-oriented programming languages and technologies such as Python, Django, and React.js.
- Expertise with APIs, including REST and GraphQL, web backend design principles, relational databases such as MySQL and Postgres, streaming pipelines, pub-sub systems, and indexing systems.
- Ability to write clean and maintainable code and design complex systems involving multiple services, pub-sub architecture, and microservices.
- Experience managing service reliability and cloud operations with AWS or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or similar technologies is highly preferred.
- Experience building SaaS product offerings is advantageous.
