Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, development, delivery, and production operation of Java microservices using Spring, RabbitMQ, and Postgres.
- Own and deliver premium query engine features covering new use cases, security robustness, and capability gaps.
- Drive query engine migration milestones end to end, including workload analysis, tooling, root-cause classification, and cross-team follow-up actions.
- Develop AI agent tooling to automate repetitive operational and development processes.
- Maintain operational and security robustness for Tier 0 and Tier 1 services and participate in improving the on-call rotation.
- Coordinate changes across shared libraries and a large fleet of distributed systems using incremental, reversible, and measurable rollout practices.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science or comparable education.
- At least 5 years of professional experience building scalable, reliable, and testable Java applications and owning them in production.
- Fluency in Java and Python.
- Strong experience with data-intensive, performance-critical distributed systems and systems that process data workloads at scale.
- Experience rolling out changes across large fleets of distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of performance-oriented data structures and algorithms, asynchronous programming, and concurrent programming.
- Ability to translate vague customer-facing problems into executable plans and communicate them to non-engineering stakeholders.
- Excellent English communication skills; German is a plus.
- Preferred experience with Java Spring Boot, Kubernetes, databases, and C++.
