Responsibilities
- Design improved application workflows, feature designs, testing protocols, and application-specific support processes.
- Evaluate QA and testing software and solutions and introduce appropriate tools to the team.
- Provide tier-2 and tier-3 support for IT system incidents, maintenance items, enhancement requests, and complex customer issues.
- Review logs, automated alerts, performance metrics, service metrics, issue reports, and data analytics.
- Act as a product owner, technology subject matter expert, customer liaison, and primary contact for assigned programs or services.
- Coordinate application support with IT teams and communicate technical concepts to management and cross-functional groups.
- Train, mentor, and provide technical assistance to junior staff members and contractors.
- Research complex issues, evaluate solution alternatives and risks, and develop recommendations.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, experiments, prototypes, and user-centered design activities.
- Document workflows, technical details, project goals, deliverables, design decisions, and implementation issues.
- Collaborate with business and development teams to resolve implementation issues and ensure quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a business-related field from an accredited college or university.
- At least five years of related work experience.
- Strong knowledge of internet and web tools, software development, scripting languages, and database design and use.
- Strong understanding of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, database technologies, SQL, relational design, normalization, and NoSQL databases.
- Strong shell scripting skills and understanding of software development life cycle practices.
- Ability to systematically diagnose failures in complex systems and analyze data to draw conclusions.
- Ability to use visual thinking, storyboards, sketching, personas, journeys, maps, and communication designs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all organizational levels and handle complex or controversial discussions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, identify risks, develop solutions, and resolve disputes professionally.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, build consensus, develop new skills, and teach others.
