Responsibilities
- Lead the design of scalable, resilient, and maintainable cloud-based system architectures.
- Write, review, and own production-quality code as a hands-on contributor.
- Make team- and system-level architectural decisions and contribute to cross-team technical strategy.
- Mentor and coach team members through feedback, pair programming, code reviews, and technical discussions.
- Break down complex technical work, remove blockers, manage risks, and protect delivery commitments.
- Collaborate with QAs, product owners, architects, designers, program management, and platform teams.
- Champion TDD, BDD, automated testing, refactoring, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Oversee infrastructure provisioning, deployment automation, monitoring, logging, alerting, security-by-design, and responsible data handling.
- Communicate technical concepts, risks, progress, and decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- At least 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Deep expertise in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Kotlin, or Python, with strong knowledge of others.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, SOLID principles, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with AI tools, frameworks, platforms, and their use in software delivery.
- Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS services, and with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases and data modelling.
- Working knowledge of security principles including secrets management and least privilege.
- Fluency with XP practices including TDD, pair programming, continuous integration, and refactoring.
- Proven technical delivery leadership, mentoring experience, decision-making ability, change-management experience, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-moving global environment with ambiguity.
- Must have the right to work and live in India and be within commuting distance of the Bengaluru office.
