Responsibilities
- Provide application and production support for live customer environments.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve incidents, defects, and performance issues across global customers.
- Own issues through resolution, including root-cause analysis, fixes, stakeholder communication, and preventative actions.
- Configure, integrate, and extend the platform for customer implementation projects.
- Translate customer requirements into maintainable solutions and communicate recurring issues and product gaps to the product team.
- Perform unit and integration testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and service performance improvements.
- Improve engineering and delivery capabilities through deployment automation and contribute to scalable architectural decisions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional Java engineering experience.
- Strong experience developing backend web applications.
- Proficiency with Spring Boot, REST APIs, JPA, Hibernate, and relational databases such as MySQL.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, software engineering best practices, unit and integration testing, and maintaining high code quality.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and in a distributed team.
- Experience with AWS, Apache Camel, Docker, Kubernetes, or other relevant cloud and DevOps technologies is beneficial.
- Experience in the insurance industry or with insurance-related software is beneficial.
