Base Salary
$168k - $168k/yr
Responsibilities
- Support software applications and risk models used in Morgan Stanley’s lending, investment banking, and global capital markets businesses.
- Build revenue-generating execution and analytics applications across the deal lifecycle, including syndication, book building, allocation, trading, and portfolio and capital management.
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize complex scalable, multithreaded, real-time software systems.
- Develop full-stack applications, REST APIs, asynchronous messaging and publish-subscribe systems, and cloud-based solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, Product Management, QA teams, and third-party vendors to gather requirements and deliver software.
- Implement testing and development practices using automated testing frameworks and support live production systems by resolving issues.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in the offered position or as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related role.
- At least three years of experience with finance technology and deal servicing platforms; scalable data-intensive and real-time applications; multithreading; performance optimization; and maintainable, robust systems.
- At least three years of experience with Python, Java, Spring Boot, REST and SOAP web services, XML, JSON, Docker, Podman, FastAPI, relational and non-relational databases, and Java concurrency.
- Experience with Sybase, SQL Server, DB2, MongoDB, Jenkins, JavaScript, Angular, OpenAPI, asynchronous messaging, cloud computing, Unix and shell scripting, and Git.
- Experience with Test Driven Development, Behavior Driven Development, JUnit, Cucumber, REST Assured, Agile development, DevOps, and production and user support.
