Responsibilities
- Operate and enhance cloud services throughout their design, development, deployment, operation, and refinement lifecycles.
- Measure and monitor service availability, latency, performance, and overall system health.
- Develop automation and drive changes that improve system reliability and engineering velocity.
- Develop features for cloud-based SaaS/IaaS offerings built on microservices and Kubernetes-based container architectures.
- Oversee customer-centric cloud services for availability, performance, and security.
- Provide architectural guidance and detailed technical direction.
- Collaborate with NetApp and global cloud service provider engineering teams and engage with customers and stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of industry experience in software development.
- At least 3 years of expert-level hands-on experience with fault-tolerant, highly scalable cloud architectures, service-oriented architectures, cloud-native environments, and cloud storage services on at least one hyperscaler.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Golang, Python, Java, and Node.js.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture and data structures.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with GitHub, continuous-integration build systems, and automated testing.
- Strong technical judgment, influential skills, problem-solving ability, communication skills, and writing skills.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science.
