Responsibilities
- Build prototypes and proofs of concept and ship agentic AI solutions to production standard.
- Implement and test tool use, retrieval pipelines, and agent workflows.
- Develop evaluation, observability, logging, instrumentation, alerting, and guardrails for agentic systems.
- Integrate AI capabilities into existing enterprise workflows and systems through APIs and data pipelines.
- Translate product requirements into software designs, write and review detailed specifications, and complete complex bug fixes.
- Apply coding best practices, code reviews, continuous integration, delivery, deployment, documentation, and quality practices.
- Create reusable patterns, reference implementations, and starter kits.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and end users, pair-program with squad members, and support handover and capability-building.
- Mentor less senior engineers and contribute to project plans, schedules, delivery approaches, and technical risk management.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience, ideally including AI-enabled or data-intensive systems.
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Experience building RAG pipelines, tool-augmented agents, and agentic workflows, with familiarity in prompt engineering, context management, evaluation, and observability.
- Understanding of agent memory, tools, retrieval, and multi-step task completion.
- Ability to design across multiple system components and translate product requirements into workable software designs.
- Ability to write and review detailed specifications for complex system components.
- Experience integrating AI into existing systems through APIs and data pipelines.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, modern SDLC, TDD, and code review.
- Experience with relational, columnar, and vector stores and sound data-modeling principles.
- Experience with Python, Java, TypeScript or JavaScript, SQL, and relevant AI SDKs.
- Clear written and verbal communication, stakeholder collaboration, measurement, and developing mentoring skills.
