Forward-Deployed Security Engineer

Responsibilities
- Embed with enterprise customers to deploy depthfirst’s security AI agents into production environments.
- Build trusted relationships with security teams and understand their challenges.
- Build custom integrations, data pipelines, and workflows connecting depthfirst with existing security tools.
- Identify patterns across customer deployments and collaborate with product teams to turn one-off solutions into platform capabilities.
- Communicate with stakeholders ranging from security engineers to CISOs.
- Own end-to-end technical delivery from scoping through implementation and optimization.
- Travel to customer sites as needed to drive successful outcomes.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience or relevant expertise.
- Experience with application security, penetration testing, security research, security tooling, vulnerability management, or security-focused engineering.
- Experience translating customer needs into product capabilities and collaborating with product teams to generalize solutions.
- Proficiency in Python and experience building integrations, APIs, and data pipelines.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer collaboration skills.
- Based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco.
- Experience with LLMs, AI agents, or AI platforms is a bonus.
- Familiarity with enterprise security infrastructure such as SIEM, SOAR, and vulnerability management platforms is a bonus.
- Prior solutions engineering or forward-deployed engineering experience is a bonus.
- Open source contributions or experience with large codebases is a bonus.
