Responsibilities
- Develop a world-class continuous deployment experience for rapidly and reliably shipping MongoDB products.
- Contribute to open-source projects and software-based solutions such as Kubernetes operators.
- Own the onboarding flow used by engineering teams when launching products or services.
- Collaborate with Platform Engineering teams to provide a consistent service-onboarding experience.
- Provide internal support for deployment systems by answering questions and addressing issues.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for deployment infrastructure incidents.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software development and operating distributed systems.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar programming language.
- Proven experience building and operating large-scale continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
- Experience using and extending containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes.
- Expertise with cloud infrastructure platforms including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
- Understanding of Linux operating system internals and networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, and routing.
- Customer-focused mindset and preference for automation over manual operations.
