Responsibilities

  • Develop a world-class continuous deployment experience for rapidly and reliably shipping MongoDB products.
  • Contribute to open-source projects and software-based solutions such as Kubernetes operators.
  • Own the onboarding flow used by engineering teams when launching products or services.
  • Collaborate with Platform Engineering teams to provide a consistent service-onboarding experience.
  • Provide internal support for deployment systems by answering questions and addressing issues.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for deployment infrastructure incidents.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in software development and operating distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar programming language.
  • Proven experience building and operating large-scale continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
  • Experience using and extending containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes.
  • Expertise with cloud infrastructure platforms including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
  • Understanding of Linux operating system internals and networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, and routing.
  • Customer-focused mindset and preference for automation over manual operations.
