Responsibilities
- Define the direction and initiatives for the Developer Productivity team and platform.
- Build automated bootstrapping, development, testing, and delivery pipelines.
- Advance self-service engineering technologies and improve the local development experience.
- Build self-healing infrastructure and improve the performance and reliability of existing systems.
- Improve reproducible builds, release management, developer tooling, and engineering workflows across the organization.
- Host Brown Bag sessions and demos to drive adoption and collaboration.
- Coach and mentor engineers and collaborate on technical designs.
Requirements
- 7–10+ years of engineering experience.
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a related field.
- Experience building CI/CD infrastructure with multiple pipeline solutions, such as Tekton, Prow, CircleCI, Jenkins, Spinnaker, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience improving software development life cycle release processes, microservice creation, local development environments, and developer experience.
- Expertise with Git flow and versioning strategies and experience facilitating reproducible builds.
- Experience with Golang, Ruby on Rails, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Working knowledge of AWS services and technologies.
- Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management, including Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.
- Experience with large-scale distributed release management and container orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes.
- Preferred experience with Gerrit, Android OS/AOSP build systems, and embedded systems builds and compiles.
