Base Salary
$155k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship AI and agent-first products and features across the full software stack.
- Design and build agents using prompts, context, tools, and model reasoning.
- Own solution quality from architecture through release, including observability, maintainability, scalability, and production readiness.
- Validate functional requirements using traditional QA, model-based evaluations, and agent tracing.
- Use agentic software engineering techniques throughout planning, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
- Partner with designers, product managers, stakeholders, and engineering teams to define, prototype, scope, and prioritize products and features.
- Share engineering knowledge and champion AI solutions and agentic practices across the team.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience as a Software Engineer, including proven experience building enterprise-scale applications.
- Working proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript or Python and familiarity with React, Next.js, or Rails.
- Broad full-stack ownership and comfort directing agents across frontend and backend development.
- Strong understanding of data schemas, databases, APIs, and AWS infrastructure, including high-volume performance considerations.
- Hands-on experience with performance testing, logging, and monitoring.
- Hands-on experience building AI- and agent-powered features and systems using frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google.
- Experience working with AI agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Opencode, or Pi as part of the daily development workflow.
- Understanding of the strengths and limitations of frontier models and open-weight models.
- Experience with continuous delivery through feature flagging and trunk-based development.
- Golang is preferred but not required.
- Experience deploying or fine-tuning open-weight models, using agent orchestration frameworks, or working with distributed messaging or event-streaming systems such as Kafka is preferred.
