Responsibilities
- Own a portion of the Agents or LLM control roadmap from customer conversations through shipping and iteration.
- Build Agent Gateway features, A2A protocol support, multi-LLM routing, cost controls, and reliability capabilities.
- Use AI-assisted development tools as part of the daily engineering workflow.
- Analyze usage data and customer feedback to guide product decisions.
- Prototype quickly, test with users, and iterate based on results.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Design, Staff Engineers, and adjacent engineering pods.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in a product-facing or full-stack role.
- Ability to speak directly with customers and translate feedback into technical plans.
- Hands-on daily experience with AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot.
- Strong fundamentals in API design and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with A2A protocol or agent-to-agent communication patterns is desirable.
- Experience with API gateways or API management platforms is desirable.
- Exposure to LLM-based products, agentic workflows, multi-LLM provider integrations, or AI and LLM cost governance is desirable.
- Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol or similar orchestration standards is desirable.
- Experience in a fast-moving, ambiguous product environment is desirable.
