Responsibilities
- Support modernization across a large Java application ecosystem.
- Assist engineering teams migrating more than 4,000 applications to current Spring Boot versions.
- Migrate applications to Spring Boot 3 and Spring Boot 4.
- Upgrade application builds from Gradle 8 to Gradle 9.
- Support application transitions from Java 17 to Java 25.
- Troubleshoot framework, build, dependency, and runtime migration issues.
- Collaborate with engineering teams throughout application migrations.
- Communicate migration findings, blockers, and resolutions clearly.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and the Java open-source ecosystem.
- Experience migrating applications to Spring Boot 3 and Spring Boot 4.
- Experience upgrading Gradle and migrating applications from Java 17 to Java 25.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving application migration issues.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours with overlap with the US team.
- Large-scale application modernization, migration automation, build optimization, dependency management, and enterprise Java experience are preferred.
Benefits
- Full-time contract engagement at 40 hours per week.
- Candidates must be based in LATAM with US Central Time coverage and flexible overlap with the US team.
