Responsibilities

  • Develop front-end and back-end functionality for a strategic LSEG web application.
  • Enhance underlying platform components and development tools in a cloud-native environment.
  • Develop and maintain serverless and microservice architectures.
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines.
  • Manage technology risk, data governance, and security for public-facing web applications.
  • Diagnose system outages, resolve issues, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Take ownership of large, high-impact projects and lead by example.
  • Guide and develop junior colleagues while collaborating with distributed teams.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in front-end or server-side JavaScript web development.
  • Proficiency in full-stack modern web development using TypeScript, Angular, Node.js, HTML, and CSS.
  • Expertise in cloud computing, preferably with AWS services.
  • Experience with serverless and microservice architectures.
  • Ability to develop and manage CI/CD pipelines, with GitLab, Bitbucket, or Jenkins preferred.
  • Understanding of source control, branching, merging, and software deployment practices.
  • Experience managing technology risk, data governance, and security for public-facing web applications.
  • Ability to diagnose system outages, resolve problems, and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Business-level written and verbal English proficiency.
  • Ability to take ownership, work autonomously, lead by example, solve problems creatively, and collaborate inclusively.
