Base Salary
$105k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical design and delivery of Molecular Platform services, APIs, data pipelines, workflow capabilities, integrations, and operational tooling.
- Build scalable, secure, reliable, and multi-tenant cloud services for scientific and enterprise data, including ingestion, normalization, metadata, processing, workflow execution, and lifecycle management.
- Translate ambiguous customer workflows and product needs into technical designs, delivery plans, and reusable platform capabilities.
- Establish identity and access controls, tenant isolation, auditability, data protection, observability, telemetry, alerts, runbooks, and failure-handling practices.
- Deliver production-quality services, integrations, data-processing components, and automated tests while resolving complex design, performance, reliability, and integration issues.
- Lead design and code reviews, mentor engineers, raise engineering standards, and provide technical guidance.
- Partner with product managers and strategic customers to investigate feedback, manage technical risks, and improve platform capabilities.
- Support significant service-issue investigations and drive durable corrective actions.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software-development experience building and operating production services or platform capabilities.
- Strong programming experience in one or more of Java, Go, Python, C++, C#, or a similar language.
- Experience with distributed systems, backend services, cloud-native applications, or large-scale data-processing systems.
- Ability to independently own moderately complex components or features from technical design through production operation.
- Hands-on experience with data platforms or data engineering, IoT and edge-to-cloud systems, AI/ML platforms, or related platform areas.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, APIs, containers, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, observability, and service operations.
- Experience with OCI, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, distributed data systems, event-driven architecture, or service orchestration is preferred.
- Experience with scientific or life-sciences data platforms, laboratory informatics, research workflows, regulated data, data governance, metadata and lineage, privacy controls, or enterprise AI integrations is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, including experience working with product managers, customers, or partner engineering teams.

- US hiring range is $104,500 to $234,600 per annum, with possible bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
