Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own backend services for FX pricing, execution, and risk management.
- Contribute to the evolution of FX platform architecture, focusing on performance and reliability.
- Implement and maintain controls for pricing, limits, risk, and monitoring.
- Work end-to-end on features from design to deployment and operational runbooks.
- Collaborate with various teams to design APIs and data contracts.
- Instrument services with metrics and logs for performance optimization.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor less-experienced engineers.
- Take part in on-call rotation to ensure platform reliability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and operating backend systems in production.
- Strong programming experience in JVM languages like Kotlin or Java.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals.
- Experience designing REST and/or gRPC APIs and working with relational databases.
- Proficiency with event-driven architectures and message brokers like Kafka.
- Strong focus on testing and quality assurance.
- Good grasp of observability practices.
- Clear communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
