Responsibilities
- Build and operate agentic AI capabilities end to end, including backend services, APIs, interfaces, connectors, and developer-facing SDKs.
- Design and maintain integrations between the AI platform and enterprise systems, internal applications, third-party tools, and business services using MCP, A2A, APIs, webhooks, and event-driven patterns.
- Develop agents and supporting capabilities for tool use, orchestration, retrieval, memory, action execution, and quality, latency, and cost tuning.
- Build ingestion, retrieval, grounding, monitoring, logging, tracing, evaluation, error-handling, and alerting capabilities for AI and integration services.
- Design secure authentication, authorization, identity propagation, token handling, access control, secrets management, and resilient connectivity patterns.
- Contribute to enterprise architecture standards, platform governance, documentation, onboarding guidance, security reviews, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, data exchange, authentication, latency, and downstream service issues while evaluating emerging AI engineering and interoperability tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
- Experience in software engineering, AI/application engineering, or platform engineering, including shipping production services.
- Full-stack development experience with Python and/or TypeScript across backend services, APIs, and modern front-end or developer-facing surfaces.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and agent frameworks, including tool calling, orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, prompting, and evaluation.
- Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise API-based integrations, with experience in MCP, A2A, service-to-service communication, or similar interoperability patterns.
- Understanding of event-driven architecture, messaging, asynchronous processing, workflow-based integration, middleware, distributed systems, and microservices.
- Experience with authentication and authorization standards including OAuth, OIDC, SSO, service principals, secrets management, and token-based security.
- Experience building secure, scalable, reliable production services on modern cloud platforms, including observability, resiliency, performance optimization, testing, CI/CD, and deployment.
- Strong problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, written communication, and technical documentation skills.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Azure AI Foundry, M365 Copilot, workflow orchestration and automation frameworks, reusable connectors or SDKs, enterprise data and knowledge platforms, regulated industries, platform governance, security reviews, and complex agentic workflow evaluation.
Benefits
- Base salary range is $166,640-$250,000, with annual bonus and annual equity awards eligibility.
