Responsibilities
- Participate in mission-critical projects that influence Priceline’s business and travel applications.
- Collaborate on cross-functional Agile teams to experiment, iterate, and deliver product objectives.
- Develop backend systems and transactional services using Core Java or similar programming languages.
- Build low-latency, high-throughput services with continuous integration and automated testing.
- Compose SQL queries to collect and analyze real-time application data.
- Understand the codebase, systems, and business requirements to make effective application changes.
- Collaborate respectfully with team members and business stakeholders on technical solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience with Core Java.
- Deep understanding of modern real-time and batch-processing big data solutions, including Spark, Kafka, KSql, Flink, and Apache Beam.
- Experience developing applications with NoSQL stores such as Cassandra, Bigtable, and MongoDB.
- Experience with Spring Framework, web services, and APIs.
- Experience with microservices, Kubernetes, and Docker is a plus.
