Responsibilities

  • Own observability or CI/CD as a core platform area, including architecture, reliability, and roadmap.
  • Drive technical initiatives from requirements gathering and design through implementation, production delivery, and operational ownership.
  • Design platform topology, integrations, scaling approaches, and reliability models.
  • Support developers with application deployment and monitoring on on-premise servers and Kubernetes using Helm.
  • Automate repetitive operations, provisioning, and maintenance.
  • Investigate production incidents, lead post-mortems, implement systemic fixes, and participate in on-call rotations.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers through design discussions, reviews, and pairing.
  • Use AI in day-to-day research, troubleshooting, and development.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, SRE, or in closely related responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ownership of technical initiatives from requirements and design through production delivery and operations.
  • Confident Linux skills, particularly with Ubuntu.
  • Working knowledge of the Prometheus stack, including metric types, exporters, and alerting.
  • Hands-on experience designing CI/CD pipelines, build orchestration, and artifact delivery.
  • Experience with Docker, image building, and container registries.
  • Experience with Ansible and Git.
  • Experience with Bash or Python scripting for automation and observability.
  • Production and on-call experience diagnosing incidents, restoring service, and leading post-mortems.
  • Experience mentoring less experienced engineers.
  • Solid hands-on experience in at least two of the following: VictoriaMetrics or Prometheus at scale; large-scale log pipelines; Jenkins scripted pipelines; Harbor or Nexus artifact management; Kubernetes application operations with Helm; or Grafana.
  • Experience with technologies such as JupyterHub, Airflow, Tableau, MLflow, Airbyte, Coder, Telepresence, bare-metal Kubernetes, Flux, Terraform, Sentry on-premise, ClickHouse, or MongoDB is a bonus.
