Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive manual and automated test cases covering functionality, performance, security, regression, integration, and scalability.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Robot Framework and Python.
- Perform RESTful API testing, including contract validation, payload verification, error handling, and service dependency checks.
- Identify, reproduce, document, track, and help resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Validate deployments and scalability across Docker containers, Kubernetes environments, and application environments.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and maintain test artifacts using version control systems.
- Prepare test reports, track coverage and defect metrics, and contribute to test planning and automation strategy.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, senior testers, DevOps teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Conduct exploratory and manual testing where automation is impractical and recommend continuous process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of hands-on experience testing distributed, microservices-based applications, including test strategy definition, design, execution, and maintenance.
- Strong expertise with Robot Framework and Python for service-level and end-to-end testing.
- Proficiency in RESTful API testing and experience with Docker and Kubernetes deployment and scalability validation.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms and deployment models.
- Experience supporting applications deployed through Jenkins and Bitbucket CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, TestRail, and Git.
- Understanding of software development lifecycles, microservices concepts, test methodologies, and collaboration across development, DevOps, and testing teams.
- Ability to write clear test cases, maintain accurate documentation, and track quality metrics.
- Preferred qualifications include advanced automation or test-environment scripting, testing or cloud certifications, performance testing and monitoring experience, and familiarity with security testing or compliance validation.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, time-management, and organizational skills are preferred.
