Responsibilities
- Design and build robust backend services in Golang for financial risk steering and decision-making workflows.
- Build ML-powered systems collaboratively with Data Scientists and ML Engineers from initial design through production validation.
- Design, develop, and operate end-to-end distributed systems on the cloud.
- Develop event-driven systems using pub-sub and messaging platforms.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and documentation maintenance.
- Partner with Risk, Engineering, and Data Science teams to clarify requirements and communicate technical trade-offs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a closely related discipline.
- Strong, production-proven experience in Golang and confidence in at least one additional language such as Python or Java.
- Seven to ten years of experience in sophisticated technology environments, including cloud-native applications, scalability challenges, or event-driven solutions.
- Experience designing or operating distributed systems and microservices architectures at scale.
- Experience working with AWS or similar cloud providers.
- Understanding of event-driven platforms, pub-sub, and messaging brokers such as Kafka, NSQ, or RabbitMQ.
- Working experience with ML-powered products is preferred.
- Ability to use AI coding assistants while recognizing their limitations and applying sound engineering judgment.
- Product-oriented mindset, attention to detail, and fluent communication with technical and business stakeholders.
