Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust, high-performance back-end systems using Java 11+ and Spring Boot.
- Lead design discussions, code reviews, and architecture sessions through hands-on technical contribution.
- Build and maintain microservices and event-driven systems processing and distributing large-scale financial data.
- Develop data integration and pipeline components connecting Snowflake, SQL Server, and real-time streaming platforms.
- Implement and optimize Redis-based caching and data stores for low-latency access.
- Champion code quality, testing, automation, performance tuning, maintainability, and production readiness.
- Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Engineering teams to align technical solutions with business outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of professional experience with Java and object-oriented design.
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, REST APIs, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Deep expertise in SQL Server, including stored procedures, performance tuning, and data modeling.
- Experience using Redis for caching or data persistence.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar publish-subscribe systems for real-time event processing.
- Familiarity with Snowflake and data pipeline concepts, including ETL and batch versus streaming.
- Experience with agentic coding and a general understanding of LLMs.
- Strong focus on clean architecture, maintainability, and production readiness.
- Preferred experience includes Kubernetes, Docker, AWS or GCP, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Python.
- Preferred qualifications also include prompt engineering, agentic AI, and interest in financial systems, accounting, or investment technology.
