Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, high-performance client software for Amazon S3.
- Engage customers and product managers to gather requirements, feedback, and data access use cases.
- Contribute to coding, code reviews, testing, deployment, operational support, and issue resolution across the software development lifecycle.
- Debug and optimize distributed systems involving Kubernetes integration, Rust code, file system implementations, performance, and throughput.
- Collaborate on open-source projects across multiple programming languages and document system architecture and operations.
- Train and mentor team members on system architecture, operation, and maintenance.
Requirements
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
- Programming experience in at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices across coding standards, software architecture, code reviews, source control, continuous deployment, testing, and operational excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent is preferred.
- Knowledge of system performance, memory management, and parallel computing principles is preferred.
