Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own the analytics services portfolio covering search, aggregations, event rollups, telemetry analytics, and user-facing visualization.
- Lead the design and delivery of Java-based analytics services and supporting ingestion, indexing, and reporting workflows.
- Define indexing, sharding, retention, and query strategies for operational telemetry and business analytics workloads.
- Tune queries and service interactions to meet strict performance and latency requirements in real-time mission workflows.
- Ensure analytics services are scalable, observable, and reliable across globally distributed deployments.
- Troubleshoot ingestion, indexing, query performance, user interface, and distributed-system issues.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or four additional years of experience in lieu of the degree.
- 15+ years of software, data platform, search, or analytics engineering experience, including 4+ years owning a major technical service domain.
- Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana or Grafana, and Java-based services.
- Experience owning analytics or search architecture across indexing, query design, aggregation patterns, and user interface visualization.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across ingestion, indexing, query performance, UI layers, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Vue.js 3 or similar frameworks, distributed analytics or observability solutions, telemetry pipelines, distributed tracing, APM-driven analysis, Elasticsearch cluster optimization, or event pipelines and stream processors is desired.
