Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior architecture leader and trusted advisor for a client engagement in Sydney.
- Work on-site in the Sydney CBD area 3 to 4 days per week.
- Partner with executive stakeholders, product leaders, technology leaders, and delivery teams to define architecture direction.
- Assess current digital product ecosystems, platforms, systems, integrations, and technical dependencies.
- Define future-state architecture that supports scalability, performance, security, maintainability, and business growth.
- Translate business priorities into practical architecture recommendations and technology roadmaps.
- Provide guidance across digital products, cloud platforms, APIs, integrations, data architecture, and enterprise systems.
- Align architecture decisions with product strategy, delivery plans, and stakeholder expectations.
- Create clear architecture documentation, diagrams, recommendations, and decision records.
- Partner with technical teams to ensure solutions are implemented in line with agreed architecture standards.
- Identify architectural risks, technical debt, integration challenges, and modernization opportunities.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong experience as an Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, Principal Architect, or similar senior architecture role.
- Experience supporting digital products, enterprise platforms, or complex technology ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of modern software architecture, cloud platforms, APIs, integrations, data flows, and enterprise systems.
- Ability to connect business goals with technical strategy and execution.
- Experience working directly with senior stakeholders, including executives, product leaders, and technology leaders.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical tradeoffs clearly.
- Experience creating architecture roadmaps, technical recommendations, diagrams, and documentation.
- Ability to guide engineering and delivery teams without needing to be the day-to-day engineering manager.
- Comfortable operating in a client-facing consulting or professional services environment.
