Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities
- Identify, prioritize, and execute software development life-cycle tasks.
- Work with the business to iterate on software requirements and develop clean, efficient tools and applications.
- Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
- Analyze and debug systems and perform validation and verification testing.
- Review colleagues’ work and participate in reciprocal code reviews.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products.
- Keep software current with the latest technologies.
Requirements
- Experience writing clean, scalable Java code and using Spring Boot.
- In-depth knowledge of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL.
- Experience writing RESTful API endpoints and applying test-driven development.
- Proficiency with Git, system and performance monitoring tools, and automated testing frameworks.
- A BSc or BA in Computer Science or a related degree.
- Strong organization, critical-thinking, problem-solving, personal leadership, collaboration, and self-direction skills.
- Preferred experience includes UI development, cloud services, Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, Ansible, Jenkins, Linux, IP networking, AWS, Azure, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SaaS products, service-oriented architecture, scripting, production on-call work, and professional mentoring.
- Knowledge of generative AI model capabilities and experience using generative AI code assistants such as GitHub Copilot is an asset.
