Base Salary
$174k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a next-generation graph query engine for globally distributed, petabyte-scale datasets.
- Write and test product or system development code in C++.
- Participate in or lead design reviews and evaluate technology choices with peers and stakeholders.
- Review code and provide feedback on style, correctness, testability, efficiency, and best practices.
- Contribute to documentation and educational content and update it based on product changes and user feedback.
- Triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues by analyzing impacts on hardware, networks, services, and quality.
- Provide technical leadership and consult with customers on complex data architectures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
- At least 3 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute technologies, or storage.
- Experience programming in C++.
- Experience with distributed databases, compilers, and database internals.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: Experience developing accessible technologies with high unit economics.
- Preferred: Experience with query compilers, query optimization, and execution engines, including knowledge of GQL or Cypher.
- Preferred: Understanding of concurrency control, Paxos consensus algorithms, and data replication strategies.
