Responsibilities
- Build and operate high-scale distributed systems.
- Provide service- and product-wide architectural guidance and drive technical decisions.
- Establish coding, testing, observability, and CI/CD best practices for production-ready services.
- Lead cross-team initiatives involving performance optimization, reliability improvements, and adoption of new technologies and tools.
- Participate in on-call rotations, respond to cloud incidents, and write root-cause analyses.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Java coding experience in highly distributed, enterprise-scale environments.
- Experience with Kafka, Druid, and Elasticsearch.
- Experience handling cloud incidents, participating in on-call work, and writing RCAs.
- Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure services on AWS or Azure.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated curiosity and practical use of AI tools to improve workflows and problem-solving.
- Preferred: experience building CI/CD systems with Kubernetes and web service frameworks.
- Preferred: experience building reliable data tiers using Postgres and Redis.
- Preferred: experience with Okta, SAML, and OAuth, plus security services knowledge.
