Base Salary
$171k - $209k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend systems for message delivery optimization, frequency capping, and real-time orchestration.
- Develop infrastructure for timing models, pacing algorithms, and personalization engines serving billions of messages monthly.
- Collaborate with Product, Applied Science, Data, and Marketing teams to ship user-engagement and business-growth features.
- Write clean, maintainable code and participate in design reviews, code reviews, and incident response.
- Architect scalable distributed systems and maintain robust monitoring for high-load production services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- Three years of experience in the offered position or a related occupation.
- Experience with Python, Java, Go, or TypeScript and their standard libraries.
- Ability to design highly scalable components, microservices, API contracts using REST or gRPC, and caching strategies.
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL data management, database indexing, schema migrations, and query optimization.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and observability tools such as Grafana or Datadog.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with distributed computing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Flink, or Hadoop for large-scale data processing.
