Responsibilities
- Lead Workday Extend projects and collaborate with specialist Extend consultants to ensure successful delivery.
- Scope projects, gather requirements, document solutions, and design applications that solve business and technical problems.
- Implement, deploy, and support applications using the Workday Extend platform toolset.
- Build customer relationships, assess needs, manage expectations, and ensure solutions are fit for purpose and commercially viable.
- Present to senior client audiences and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, including remotely.
- Guide, develop, and educate others within the Workday practice on Workday Extend.
- Work to tight deadlines and make balanced decisions based on customer demands and company commercials.
Requirements
- Proficiency with XML, REST, SOAP, and JSON.
- Knowledge of an object-oriented programming language, preferably J2EE.
- Workday HCM certification or experience with similar HCM/ERP systems.
- Experience designing applications to solve business and technical problems.
- Good understanding of cloud computing, web services, and related challenges.
- Strong customer focus, communication, presentation, relationship-building, and expectation-management skills.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of project and business dynamics.
- Broad business and technology understanding, including awareness of HR and HR technology trends.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with other middleware or application development platforms, web development languages, workflow design, and managing, mentoring, and developing teams.
