Base Salary
$194k - $267k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, evaluation, deployment, and maintenance of the production photogrammetry pipeline.
- Develop and optimize feature detection, structure from motion, multi-view stereo, mesh reconstruction, and related 3D systems.
- Evaluate and integrate Gaussian splatting and foundation 3D models such as MASt3R and VGGT.
- Balance classical 3D computer vision and learned approaches for business challenges.
- Own technical investigations from initial triage through production rollout and ongoing maintenance.
- Establish technical direction, production standards, observability practices, and architectural guidance.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and potentially manage 1–2 engineers as the team expands.
- Embed Cursor and Claude Code workflows, including reusable skills, prompts, and playbooks, into development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of professional experience building, shipping, and operating production 3D computer vision or 3D machine learning systems.
- Technical depth in structure from motion, multi-view stereo, SLAM, mesh texturing, and depth estimation.
- Proficiency in C++ and fluency with PyTorch, TensorFlow, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with agentic development and modern AI coding tools.
- Experience setting technical direction and mentoring engineers, with interest in expanding into people management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
