Responsibilities
- Explore emerging AI technologies, agents, and engineering patterns through hands-on experimentation and rapid prototyping.
- Formulate hypotheses, structure experiments, evaluate results against defined criteria, and turn findings into engineering recommendations.
- Define and continuously evolve the organization-wide AI software development lifecycle.
- Assess AI technologies, model outputs, and industry trends while defining evaluation criteria and identifying failure modes.
- Create documentation, reusable guidance, and recommendations for delivery teams and leadership.
- Work across research, prototyping, engineering, architecture discussions, consulting, and organizational enablement.
- Collaborate with the delivery-facing AI rollout function and incorporate recurring challenges from project adoption.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering and architecture fundamentals at Senior Engineer or Tech Lead level, including APIs, distributed systems, testing, delivery practices, and maintainability.
- At least 6 years of production software delivery experience.
- Hands-on experience with AI agents and agentic workflows.
- Experience with LLM APIs and model integration.
- Practical experience evaluating and testing AI systems.
- Awareness of security, privacy, and responsible AI considerations.
- Experience with CI/CD, software delivery practices, observability, and monitoring.
- Strong R&D mindset, critical thinking, systems thinking, written and verbal communication, and pragmatic judgment.
- Preferred experience with LLM-based application development, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, tool or function calling, MCP, API design and integration, data pipelines, data management, containers, and cloud-native development.
- Experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, .NET, or similar languages is preferred.
