Responsibilities
- Understand software-development needs and objectives for Canadian clients across industries.
- Design and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions.
- Create technical designs for assigned user stories and collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other teams.
- Provide technical support, handle escalations, and maintain tools, systems, and platforms.
- Use EY methodologies and tools to deliver software solutions.
- Stay current with software engineering trends across full-stack, Java, microservices, DevOps, .NET, C#, Python, SQL, JavaScript, Spring Boot, and API integration.
- Train and support clients during software development and maintain strong client relationships.
- Evaluate new products and technologies, create proofs of concept, and provide feedback.
- Manage multiple client engagements and travel as needed to meet client and project commitments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–4 years of experience as a Software Developer or in a similar role.
- Expertise in full-stack development, Java, .NET, C#, Python, SQL, MySQL, JavaScript, and API integration.
- Understanding of cloud and DevOps technologies including Azure, Docker, and Git.
- Strong problem-solving, written communication, verbal communication, collaboration, organization, and client-management skills.
- Ability to learn new programming languages and frameworks and develop creative solutions to business problems.
- Familiarity with Canadian data protection laws and business practices.
- English proficiency is required; French language skills are an asset.
- Prior consulting experience and relevant professional certifications are preferred.
