Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate software test strategies aligned with project requirements and functional, non-functional, and security requirements.
- Design, architect, and deliver automation strategies for system-level and front-end applications.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Identify, document, track, reproduce, debug, and help resolve defects, functionality issues, and performance problems.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, senior testers, and global cross-functional teams on testing goals and priorities.
- Define, track, monitor, and analyze testing metrics and contribute to test reports.
- Support test planning for functional, regression, integration, and other testing activities.
- Maintain test scripts, test cases, and related artifacts using version-control systems.
- Define and implement CI/CD integration so automated tests run as part of the development process.
- Conduct manual and exploratory testing where automation is difficult or unsuitable.
- Drive innovation, lean initiatives, continuous improvement, and large-scale test automation transformation.
- Mentor and coach engineers to improve technical capabilities and software quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 12–15 years of hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks and test automation solutions.
- Proficiency coding and modifying complex automated software testing programs for system-level and front-end applications.
- In-depth understanding of Linux operating system internals.
- Knowledge of system controllers, preferably scanners, including their development and testing.
- Experience with Atlassian products, JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence, TestRail, Git, Subversion, and Jenkins.
- Understanding of software development processes, testing methodologies, continuous integration, and continuous deployment pipelines.
- Experience with Robot Framework, TestNG, Python, C, C++, and relevant test automation libraries.
- Experience writing detailed test cases and maintaining accurate test-result documentation.
- Strong English communication skills, collaboration and influencing abilities, stakeholder management, global mindset, and experience working in diverse virtual teams.
- Ability to make timely decisions, analyze critical information, understand the commercial environment, and drive effective results.
