Base Salary
$269k - $307k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and evangelize technical vision, architecture, and long-term platform strategy.
- Decompose complex problems into practical, operational solutions while ensuring high-quality technical design and implementation.
- Modernize monolithic systems into microservice architectures and event-driven platforms.
- Design a scalable, multi-tenant platform supporting payment-network integrations and batch and real-time settlement.
- Establish API standards, coding standards, and design standards in collaboration with engineering and architecture leaders.
- Review and update critical application repositories and ensure high code quality.
- Lead cross-divisional technical projects and architectural reviews.
- Mentor engineers, coach technical communities, and support professional development.
- Create technical communications, code samples, blog posts, and knowledge-sharing materials.
- Serve as an expert on performance, scalability, operability, and other non-functional system characteristics.
- Apply agentic AI coding tools strategically to address systemic development challenges.
- Balance hands-on technical contribution with mentoring and organizational influence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture, enterprise architecture and design patterns, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Preferred 10+ years of experience with software engineering and solution architecture, enterprise architecture and design patterns, web technologies, distributed HPC and ML systems, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred 10+ years of professional coding experience with languages such as Go, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
- Preferred 8+ years of experience with databases and database management systems.
- Preferred 10+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, from conception through production support.
- Preferred 5+ years with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred 10+ years of experience with networking protocols and third-party distributed-system integration.
- Preferred 5+ years mentoring senior engineers and driving professional development.
- Preferred 2+ years leading cross-domain architectural reviews and establishing coding and design standards.
- Understanding of payment networks and transaction types is preferred.
