Responsibilities
- Design robust, scalable, and cost-effective solutions on UpCloud’s IaaS and PaaS platforms with the sales team.
- Lead technical discovery discussions with prospective customers about infrastructure challenges and performance needs.
- Guide proof-of-concepts, customer evaluations, and migrations.
- Advise customers as a subject matter expert on cloud architecture, security, and data sovereignty.
- Represent UpCloud at industry events and contribute to technical whitepapers and architectural best-practice guides.
- Relay market requirements to Product and Engineering teams and influence the product roadmap.
- Provide technical leadership and detailed responses for RFPs and RFIs.
Requirements
- Strong background designing cloud-native or hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Deep understanding of IaaS, including compute, storage, and networking, as well as PaaS.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills with both CTO and SysAdmin audiences.
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows environments and experience with automation or infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Fluent written and spoken Finnish and English.
- Terraform, Kubernetes including UK8s, managed databases, GDPR knowledge, and previous cloud pre-sales, solutions architecture, or sales engineering experience are appreciated.
