Base Salary
$175k - $412k/yr
Responsibilities
- Manage account and partner responsibilities for selected Rhode Island accounts and territory opportunities.
- Provide technical, product, solution, and sales support, including the appropriate combination of hardware, software, and services.
- Develop bids, proposals, presentations, product demonstrations, detailed specifications, and customer solution designs.
- Deliver career-level technical presentations and consultative support to customers, partners, prospects, and internal stakeholders.
- Qualify opportunities, support the sales pipeline and forecasts, drive engagements through closure, and identify additional opportunities.
- Build proofs of concept and prototypes when needed to demonstrate solution feasibility.
- Provide selective post-sales support and mentor more junior Systems Engineers.
Requirements
- Typically 5+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 3 years with a master’s degree, or significant experience in networking, technical, and presales roles.
- In-depth knowledge of L2/L3 networking, routing, WLAN, LAN, WAN, switching, NAC/AAA, and full-stack Layer 1–7 networking.
- Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, organizational, prioritization, interpersonal, consultative, and solution-design skills.
- Ability to interface with senior internal and external stakeholders and mentor junior Systems Engineers.
- Industry expert-level certifications are strongly recommended; Aruba and Juniper expert-level certifications are preferred.
- Must be located in the Rhode Island territory and be a US citizen or Green Card holder at the time of hire.
