Base Salary
$163k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and lead end-to-end AI solutions from concept to production across clinical, operational, and enterprise workflows.
- Translate business problems into scalable architectures covering data pipelines, model development and selection, ML operations, governance, and integration with Epic and cloud platforms.
- Establish standards for safety, reliability, and observability, including monitoring for drift, bias, and performance.
- Guide build-versus-buy decisions and vendor integrations.
- Create reference architectures and ensure solutions improve outcomes, efficiency, and user experience.
- Collaborate with product, data science, engineering, cloud platform, application, informatics, operations, and clinical teams.
- Develop technical and user-level documentation and communicate with executives, managers, subject matter experts, and external organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of the degree or diploma.
- Eight years of recent relevant experience.
- Advanced knowledge of enterprise strategic architecture frameworks and the engineering, implementation, operation, maintenance, and support of server and storage platforms.
- Expert knowledge of visualization technologies.
- Working knowledge of generative AI, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted workflow design.
- Ability to translate business needs into practical technology solutions using Epic and emerging AI capabilities.
- Strong collaboration, analytical, prioritization, communication, and documentation skills.
- Epic certifications are preferred, including Core Epic Certification in EpicCare Ambulatory or EpicCare Inpatient and Major Epic Certification in Healthy Planet, Optime/Anesthesia, Resolute Professional Billing, Resolute Hospital Billing, ASAP, or Radiant.
- Experience building and deploying Epic-released AI features, predictive models, or advanced workflow solutions within Epic is strongly preferred.
